Mahant Ghasidas Museum, D.K. in Raipur Located near the hospital. It was established in 1875 by King Mahant Ghasidas of Rajnandgaon. In 1953, Rani Jyoti Devi and her son Digvijay Das had renovated it. Various types of objects of archeology, anthropology and natural history are preserved here. Various elements are kept in it. It also includes arts, crafts and paintings. There are two floors in the museum with five galleries. Crafts, jewelery, painting and terracotta belong to the tribal culture in the museum. It is also an interesting library, it has spread over two hectares of land, it is one of the best museums in Chhattisgarh. The priceless collections in the museum include items such as inscriptions, weapons, ancient coins, Kalchuri sculptures, carvings, Buddhist bronze and clothing and ornaments, which are being used by different tribes of Chhattisgarh. It is listed in major museums of central India.
